  the classic French fairy tale by Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve an
 d later adapted by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont, this story has endure
 d for centuries because of its timeless message. Compassion, courage, and a
 n open heart have the power to transform.<br /><br />This ballet brings the
  story to life through movement, music, and design, creating a vivid contra
 st between the warmth of Belle’s humanity and the mystery of the Beast’s do
 main. Enchanted elements fill the stage, from graceful birds whose dancing 
 adds lightness and wonder, to fairies who guide the story’s magic and trans
 formation. Sweeping ensemble scenes and intimate pas de deux reveal the emo
 tional depth of the characters, from moments of fear and uncertainty to ten
 derness and joy.<br /><br />This program features an original score by Dr.
