SUMMARY:Budding Explorers at JC Raulston Arboretum
LOCATION:4415 Beryl Road, Raleigh, NC 27606
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Calling all explorers ages 8-10! Join us for an exciting, hands-on program
where we’ll discover the fascinating world of nocturnal animals!

Youth participants, accompanied by an adult, will investigate how mammals
in North Carolina have adapted to life after dark. Through interactive acti
vities and a garden adventure, we’ll explore the special senses that help n
octurnal creatures thrive at night and search for signs of the animals that
may have visited the JCRA while we were asleep.

You'll also get
an introduction to ecoEXPLORE, an incentive-based community science progra
m developed by The North Carolina Arboretum. By making real-world observati
ons and completing fun challenges, youth participants can earn badges and p
rizes throughout the year.

There is no need to have an ecoEXPLOR
E account prior to this program in order to participate. Program begins at
the Visitor Center. Come dressed for the weather as this program will be he
ld partly outdoors. In the event of inclement weather, activities will be m
oved inside.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to equip your bu
dding explorers with the knowledge and tools to continue (or begin!) their
science journey!
