  is one of the longest-running planetarium shows at Morehead, this show is 
 never the same twice! A Morehead educator leads this “live” star show, a tr
 aditional planetarium show focusing on stars, planets, and constellations.<
 br /><br />“Carolina Skies” takes Morehead visitors on a guided tour of the
  nighttime sky as it appears on that very night above North Carolina. Visit
 ors learn to identify celestial objects visible to the naked eye and find t
 he cardinal directions using celestial signposts. They learn about the lege
 nds and myths created by ancient cultures to explain the astronomical pheno
 mena observed by those cultures.<br /><br />Currently, “Carolina Skies” sho
 ws also include an exciting “fly-out” experience that travels beyond our So
 lar System into the Milky Way Galaxy and beyond to the universe’s outer rea
 ches!<br /><br />Morehead also offers special editions of “Carolina Skies”
