 Wildlife Resources Commission invites anglers and would-be anglers of all a
 ges to go fishing for free on July 4th. Everyone in NC (residents and non-r
 esidents) can fish in any public body of water, including coastal waters, w
 ithout a fishing license. Although no license is required, all other fishin
 g regulations, such as size, creel limits and lure restrictions still apply
 .<br /><br />Harris Lake County Park staff will have fishing rods for you t
 o borrow and will be on hand to provide basic instruction or other assistan
 ce. Preregistration is encouraged in order to guarantee equipment; otherwis
 e, fishing poles are available on a first-come, first-served basis or you c
 an bring your own. Bring your own bait or use ours. For all ages (children 
 must be accompanied by an adult).<br /><br />*Due to construction associate
 d with the park bond improvements, you will need to park in the first grave
 l lot on your left and walk across the road to access the pond.
