DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Youth participants, accompanied by an adult, will step into the role of jun
 ior dendrologists as they explore how trees grow, move water, and make thei
 r own food. Through creative activities, simple science experiments, and cl
 ose-up observation in the garden, we'll investigate leaf shapes, bark textu
 res, and the important jobs different parts of a tree perform.<br /><br />Y
 ou'll also get an introduction to ecoEXPLORE, an incentive-based community 
 science program developed by The North Carolina Arboretum. By making real-w
 orld observations and completing fun challenges, youth participants can ear
 n badges and prizes throughout the year.<br /><br />There is no need to hav
 e an ecoEXPLORE account prior to this program in order to participate. Prog
 ram begins at the Visitor Center. Come dressed for the weather as this prog
 ram will be held partly outdoors. In the event of inclement weather, activi
 ties will be moved inside.<br /><br />Don't miss out on this opportunity to

 begin!) their science journey
