 , Ira David Wood III, will return to the stage this holiday season in his b
 eloved production of A Christmas Carol. After a celebrated 50-year run as E
 benezer Scrooge, Wood will step into a new role this year: the whimsical La
 mplighter.<br /><br />Wood officially passed the role of Scrooge to his son
 , Ira David Wood IV, in 2023. Yet his connection to the show remains as str
 ong as ever. Not only will he continue to direct the production, but by ste
 pping into the role of the Lamplighter he will once again bring his warmth 
 and presence back to the stage, something local audiences have cherished fo
