 een costume contest that takes place each October in Downtown Cary, NC.<br 
 /><br />Short films (ive use of this year’s prop (candy corn). Submissions 
 are only open to North Carolina filmmakers and residents.<br /><br />Filmma
 kers of all ages and skill levels were encouraged to submit their short fil
 m for consideration. See details on the website.<br /><br />This year’s Zom
 biepalooza will take place at Downtown Cary Park and will begin with pre-fi
 lm activities including:<br /><br />Undead face-painting with Free Spirited
  Artistry<br />Mortifying Mocktails in the Zombie Lounge with Umbrella Dry 
 Bar<br />SFX Demo with the Makeup Mistress<br />Candy Cornhole & Glow Games
 <br />Zombie-inspired craft<br />Costume Contest<br />Screening of the shor
 t films will begin at 8 p.m.<br /><br />Remember, costumes are highly encou
 raged!<br />Food Trucks (4- 9 p.m.)<br />This event is family-friendly.<br
