Wake County Smart Start's Block Party at Roberts Park Community Center

Come celebrate with us for our 2nd annual Wake County Smart Start Block Party! This free, family-friendly event is designed for young children, birth-5, and their families. Enjoy a fun-filled day at the park with activities, food, and local, early childhood resources! Families can look forward to a Bounce House, Touch-A-Truck, Youth Performances, Cooking Demos, Food Trucks and more. Plus, don’t miss our Sensory-Friendly Quiet Hour from 10am-11:30am for a more peaceful experience.
This year’s theme focuses on the heart of our community—Parenthood! We’ll honor the essential contributions of parents, grandparents, foster parents, and other caregivers who lay the healthy foundation for growth and development of our young children. The block party will celebrate the diverse forms of parental care in our communities and raise awareness about the crucial role families play in giving young children the best start in life.
