Fabulous place for all ages. Not just for the kids. From the moment you walk in...feeding and holding chickens, feeding Milkshake and JoJo and just wait until you see the new baby goat jump and play. All while learning about the farm and all the animals and where they came from. You'll want to go back.....

This was exactly what we needed to round out a lovely holiday weekend. The owners were great, the animals were sweet, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. I definitely want to go again!

Meet our animals

Peanut Butter

aka "cry baby"

Peanut Butter is our male Nigerian Dwarf goat and daddy to the baby goats born on the farm. He is super sweet and loves attention so much that he cries if he is not getting it from humans or his girlfriends.

Gus

Gus is a Shetland Pony Gelding. He came to us from a farm where he was an escape artist (What can he say? He loves green grass!) and has been with us since 2020. He is a very sweet little pony and has an amazing calming influence on children with special needs. On special occasions, Gus has been known to transform into his Supernatural Persona known as Agustus the Unicorn.

Reese

Reese is a female Nigerian Dwarf goat and the sweetest goat we have. She loves to snuggle and is a great sport about getting dressed up for our events. Reese was "free" to our farm after we spent two days cleaning stalls for her. LOL! We loved her so much that we ended up buying her sister to keep the pair together on our farm. Both have blue eyes.

Oreo McFlurry

Oreo is a Nigerian Dwarf/Pygmy mix. She is a super sweet momma and a great little milk goat.

Botcha

Botcha is one of the sweetest adult goats we have. She came to our farm in Dec of 2020 and quickly took to the bottle, and accepted Susan as her momma and human. She can often be found at our side when she is not in her pen. Botcha was named after our owner's mother in law. Botcha was her husband's nickname for her and we recently learned that Botcha- spelled Bacha in Hindi, means "Baby", so it is a very fitting term of endearment.

Peppa Pig

Peppa is a "miniature" pot bellied pig. She is learning to love us and enjoys back scratches, stealing the goats hay, and laying in her large hay nest. Her favorite snacks are pumpkin, banana and apple.

Marshmellow

Marshmellow , aka "Marsha, Marsha, Marsha" is all drama, all the time. This young Nigerian Dwarf goat is naturally polled, meaning she won't grow horns. She has 3 moon spots on her back. What does that mean? We aren't sure but it cost us more to buy her. LOL!

Milkshake

Milkshake the Steer. Milkshake is boarded at The Feathered Farm with his pasture mate, Jojo. He is a holstein steer and is over 1500lbs and will continue to grow.

Meet Our Staff

Ethan Rosero

Ethan is the son of owners, Susan and Danny Rosero. Ethan is homeschooled and a 2023 Senior. He enjoys helping out with the farm tours and birthday parties and acting as our designated "Chicken Tender". He named our goat, S'more and his favorite animals on the farm are our kittens Jacques and Diego.

Susan Rosero

My name is Susan and I am the owner of The Feathered Farm. My husband and I bought this farm in 2020. Formerly, the land was used for teaching horseback riding. After purchasing the home, it seemed we added new animals monthly, starting with chickens. We did not have farming experience prior to moving here with the exception of having a few chickens in Raleigh and I had a horse in high school. (Danny actually grew up in the Bronx!) We are so glad we found this space where we have room for our extended family including my mom and grandson.

Tracy Schmitz

Tracy is the owner of our famous cows, Milkshake and Jojo. We met when she was looking for a new pasture to board her sweet pets. Tracy has worked for many years in child care and rescued over 200 animals so her skills were a perfect match at our farm with the farm tours and animal care and we quickly welcomed her to the team.

Faith Allen

Faith Allen brings years of experience in taking care of humans and animals to The Feathered Farm. Not only is she a Registered Nurse, but she is also a wife, homeschooling mother of 4, and volunteers at her church teaching Sunday school. We are so excited to have her on our team.

Amanda Clancy

Amanda Clancy was a volunteer at the farm but we had to have her on our team! She retired from a career in working with children and school administration but loves to stay busy. Amanda is a wife and mom, gardener and loves to travel. She is a whiz with administrative tasks, kind to our visitors and animals and a perfect addition to our team!

Ms. Linda

Ms. Linda is a volunteer at the farm. She can often be found at the entrance greeting our visitors and helping with check in. Linda and the farm owner have been friends for many years. She loves watching the children on the playground, meeting so many nice people and helping with our school field trips. We could not provide many of the services that we do without the kind volunteers like Ms. Linda.
