Since 2006, we are the top Martial Arts school in
Cary and Morrisville, North Carolina.

We love teaching martial arts at JMA! Early on in our school's history, we became the "go-to" for Cary and Morrisville to learn martial arts, leadership, and life skills.

 

We teach Traditional Taekwondo, which involves the strikes of Japanese Martial Arts with the powerful kicks from Korean Martial Arts. When we refer to Martial Arts, Karate or Taekwondo, we use the terms interchangeably as many people new to any form of martial arts just know the term, Karate. 

 

Above any particular style of self-defense, it is more important that you find the right environment for you and/or your family. This is why we encourage all families to try a complimentary trial class to see if JMA is the perfect fit for martial arts instruction.

Here are some reasons why we believe that we are the best academy for our martial arts families. You'll learn self defense in our well-rounded TaeKwondo program that feeds the mind and body...AND be part of a community where life skills and values that parents teach at home are reinforced on the daily.

Students start as young as 4, but there is no wrong age to begin your martial arts journey. Classes are divided by age and level of proficiency. Preschoolers, School-Aged Children, Teens and Adults can all benefit from Karate.

The programs are:

 

1. Cubs (Ages 4 and 5) - Class duration: 30-minutes

2. Juniors (Ages 6-12+) - Class duration: 50-minutes

3. Teens and Adults - Class duration: 50-minutes

The classes are high-energy! Students get physically fit while learning to defend themselves.

​

At our Karate school, teaching you to defend yourself is #1, but we also find great joy in teaching leadership skills and character to the next generation-soft skills that enable young people to become successful and happy adults.

We teach Traditional TaeKwonDo. This means that we learn the strikes of Karate along with the strong kicks from Korean Martial Arts, making for a well-rounded form of self-defense. When we say, "Karate" throughout our site, we use it as a general term to describe all martial arts.
