Locally owned and operated Ultimate Comics is teaming up with the American Cancer Society this Free Comic Book Day, Saturday May 6th, to help end cancer as we know it.
Free Comic Book Day is an annual celebration of comic books where comic shops give away comic books absolutely free to anyone who comes into their shops. Ultimate Comics is known for putting on the biggest annual event in the state of North Carolina, using the day to spotlight local artists, cosplayers, businesses and nonprofits in addition to handing out thousands of free comics to attendees across their five locations.
This year, Ultimate Comics is using the day to spotlight the American Cancer Society and support their Gold Together initiative which focuses on childhood cancer. Throughout Free Comic Book Day, Ultimate Comics will be raising money for ACS at all five locations across the state of North Carolina. Funds raised directly support discovery, advocacy, and patient support dedicated to childhood cancer.
Ultimate Comics?s Free Comic Book Day event starts at 10 AM Saturday May 6th. Head to any Ultimate Comics location to make a donation in support of ACS. Donations will be accepted all day long.
