Memorial Hall & Independence Hall Rentals

We have two different-sized and separate venues to meet the needs of your event - large or small. On-site tables and chairs are included with the rentals, and ample free parking is just outside the doors of both venues. Our Post is easy to find - centrally located in the heart of Cary and close to the interstate, major thoroughfares, hotels, restaurants, and shopping centers.

NOTE: Because we are located in the middle of a residential area and we have a townhome community right behind our Post, Cary noise ordinances are strictly enforced and all events must end by Midnight - with one hour allowed for cleanup afterward.

Pricing is listed below for each of the venues and we offer discounts to active duty military, first responders, and several categories of verified charitable non-profit organizations. In addition to the rental fee, all rentals require a deposit that is refundable if the venue is cleaned, and there are no damages or contract violations. Both venues have sufficient tables and chairs for the number of guests allowed for each facility, and these are included at no extra charge. We do not cater, but the Main Hall has a kitchen with a stove, oven, and microwave that can be used to only heat up food - no food prep is allowed. The Cottage has a microwave to reheat food. Renters have the option of purchasing beer or wine in our Canteen, or bringing their own. NOTE: Only beer and wine can be served - liquor is not allowed - and a liability waiver must be signed.

Please Note: Smoking is not permitted in any of the buildings of Post 7383. The prohibition includes electronic cigarettes and vaping.

The Memorial Hall seats up to 250 guests. Amenities include a stage, dance floor, bathrooms, and an enclosed wet-bar. The main floor measures 74' X 54' and the raised stage is 14' X 6'. Pre-prepared foods can be served from the adjoining full kitchen, with an ice machine and separate refrigeration for your event.

In addition to parties and banquets scores of meetings, rallies, civil-service exams, health screenings, and other functions have been hosted in the Memorial Hall.

The rental price is based on the day of the event, number of people, and whether or not alcohol is being served. This venue requires a $500-$700 security deposit (depending on the type of event) in addition to the rental fee. The deposit is refundable if there are no damages or contract violations.

The rates are as follows without/with alcohol being served:

  • Sunday-Thursday 1-125 Guests: $1500/$1900; 126-250 Guests: $2000/$2600
  • Friday-Saturday 1-125 Guests: $1800/$2200; 126-250 Guests: $2300/$2900

The Independence Hall (aka The Cottage) seats up to 47 guests. Amenities include a small kitchenette with an enclosed wet-bar, and covered outdoor porch. The total usable footage inside is about 23' X 30' with two bathrooms and a 10' X 9' kitchen area that includes the wet-bar and a refrigerator for your event. The covered outdoor porch is 30' X 11.5'.

Nestled in a grassy area near woods away from the main Post, it is a natural setting for birthday parties, wedding and baby showers, reunions, business meetings, and outings.

The rate is $125 plus $35 per hour for events not serving alcohol, and $125 plus $50 per hour for events with alcohol. Three hours is the minimum time that the Cottage can be booked. If a renter wants to have a Bounce House, there is a $100 fee and a liability waiver must be signed. This venue requires a $200 security deposit in addition to the rental fee. The deposit is refundable if there are no damages or contract violations.
