Flouride Treament

Fluoride is a mineral in your bones and teeth. It’s also found naturally in the following: water soil plants rocks air Fluoride is commonly used in dentistry to strengthen enamel, which is the outer layer of your teeth. Fluoride helps to prevent cavities. It’s also added in small amounts to public water supplies in the United States and in many other countries. This process is called water fluoridation.

Extractions

Our office only recommend a tooth extraction as a last resort when other treatment options won’t work. Being too quick to extract a tooth can cause problems with a child’s speech, chewing, and development, so talk to the dentist about other choices whenever possible.

White Fillings

White fillings, also known as resin composite fillings, are made of ceramic and plastic compounds. Because resin looks like natural teeth, these fillings blend right in with the tooth color.

Radiographs

To figure out if there's room in your child's mouth for all incoming teeth To determine if your child is losing primary teeth quickly enough to make room for all permanent teeth To check for preliminary development of wisdom teeth or any teeth unable to emerge from the gums (known as impacted). Cleaning & Fluoride

Using specialized instruments, we will clean away and plaque or tartar on the teeth, much like we do with adult patients. We will also demonstrate proper brushing and flossing technique; whether your child brushes and flosses his own teeth, or you still do it for him, a refresher never hurts!

Sealants

Dental sealants are are thin, plastic coatings painted on the chewing surfaces of the teeth. While they are not substitutes for daily brushing and flossing, dental sealants can prevent cavities from forming.
