It has been nearly nine months since The North Carolina Theatre made the difficult decision to enter Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Our bankruptcy plan was approved on September 11, 2024, and we have emerged continuing to operate our premier NCT Conservatory where students receive training in acting, dance, and voice. We are thrilled to tell you that the NCT Conservatory served 351 students during the 2023-2024 season. Since 2017, the Conservatory. has served students from over thirty-four counties and more than sixty-five cities and towns in North Carolina. The NCT Conservatory’s mission to “Foster the Next Generation of Artists and Leaders” is alive and well.

The North Carolina Theatre Conservatory & Engagement provides robust arts programming that includes year-round theatre classes for youth ages 3 to adult. The Conservatory offers vigorous training from the entry-level Education Department to Pre-Professional training. College Prep and Adult Departments are also excellent training grounds for continuing education. Our In-School Engagement program offers comprehensive arts integration programs working with school and community partners across the Triangle.
