**In March 2020, the City of Raleigh began stormwater improvement construction in the Rose Garden. During construction, a large section of the Rose Garden will be closed for public use, including the area between the theater building and the Rose Garden, as well as the areas around the fountain and behind the arbor. It is anticipated that other areas of the garden should remain open to the public, including the amphitheater and shelter area. The project began in mid-March and will continue into Summer 2020.** For more information: https://raleighlittletheatre.org/rose-garden-stormwater-improvements-project/
Listed as a Unique Venue with the City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department, the Raleigh Rose Garden is open to the public 7 days a week. The Raleigh Rose Garden was dedicated in 1951, the finishing touch to the WPA landmark Raleigh Little Theatre campus. Since then, the Raleigh Rose Garden has offered a year-round display of roses, trees, and perennials.
One of three accredited rose gardens in North Carolina, the grounds include sixty rose beds with varieties of hybrid teas, floribundas, grandifloras, miniatures, and antique roses, surrounded by an arboretum of evergreen and deciduous trees.
