Our Story
Our farm is a third generation working family farm, located in Northern Harnett County, just a few miles over the county line in Fuquay-Varina. We are a family-owned farming operation that begin in the 70’s when Jeff’s Grandfather purchased the farm and began growing tobacco. Through the years, our family has continued to farm this land to produce tobacco as well as other crops as means of income. Due to the extreme growth that is happening in this area of Harnett County, family farms that we once tended and/or rented for crop land, are being sold to housing developers for prices that the average farmer cannot compete with. Therefore, to hold on to our family farm and to continue to share our farming traditions with our future generations and yours, we diversified our farming operation to offer Agritourism.

Willow Oak Farms offers a full variety of outdoor, hands-on learning activities that can only happen on the farm. We offer a country setting with a family inviting ice cream shop with a large variety of flavors, as well as other attractions and events such as, sunflower fields, farm-based learning preschool classes, educational school field trips, vendor markets, and events throughout the year. Check out our new farm-themed open-air play area and our Barnyard Buddies classes for children! We look forward to seeing you soon and providing a fun day on the farm, while creating memories that last a lifetime.
