Atlas International School

Atlas International School is a Preschool-8th grade private school in Raleigh, NC. Atlas International School is part of a growing network of schools across the country that use the Core Knowledge curriculum and that are finding great success as measured both by standardized tests and by the students' enjoyment of learning.

At Atlas we will provide our students with a hands-on, developmentally appropriate, theme-based curriculum in order to develop the whole child, socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. We will provide your child with a variety of activities which encourage discovery, exploration, creativity, problem-solving, and lots of communicating and socializing.

In addition to Spanish and French, language arts, math (Saxon math), science and social studies, all of our K-8 students learn Spanish and French, and at least one musical instrument (violin and/or piano). For music, kindergartners learn violin only. First to third graders learn both instruments. Fourth to eighth graders can continue with both instruments or choose piano only. Guitar lessons may be made available if enough interest is shown. Preschoolers learn the Suzuki Method. Additionally, preschooler's half-morning program is a theme-based immersion program in Spanish or French with native speakers.
